To extend fiber laser’s life, please choose the chiller with water filter

According to the fiber laser cooling requirement, the impurity and ion in the water would effect the fiber laser running, so the chiller should equip with the water filter. S&A dual circulating chiller CW-6100AT is equipped with dual wirewound filter and one ion filter. Can the chiller CW-5000 be used to cool 130W-150W laser?

Recently, when we called on one customer who specialized in laser cutting machine. We found the chillers CW-5000 (0.8KW cooling capacity) was applied to cool 130W-150W laser. However, cooling 130W laser, we usually recommended chiller CW-5200 (1.4KW cooling capacity), and cooling 150W laser, chiller CW-5300 (1.8KW cooling capacity) is available . If CW-5000 is applied to cool 130W-150W laser, that would damage the laser. Therefore, to extend the laser life, we recommended chiller CW-5200 or CW-5300.

The pump of chiller being stuck would cause flow alarm

When we called on the customer who is specialized in fiber laser, we found the dual temperature chiller CW-6100AT displayed water flow alarm. To keep the machine running normally, we immediately provided maintenance service. According to the application condition, we judged the water pump might be stuck. Why does water chiller CW-5000 run over 42℃

A customer reflected that S&A water chiller CW-5000 runs over 42C.
Now I show you some simple judgments and troubleshootings.
1.    Please judge if the cooling capacity of CW-5000 is enough for the cooled equipment, if not, please change to another chiller model with larger cooling capacity; 
2.    Please check if the filter gauze and fan have too much dust, as the dust would affect heat radiation and lead to temperature raise;
3.    Please run the chiller without connecting to the cooled machine and check if the fan and compressor are working, if not, maybe they are faulted, and need to be replaced.

Temperature of the compressor of chiller CW-5200 increases even more of 70°C

Last week, we received an email about the failure of chiller CW-5200. The customer reflected that the temperature of the compressor increased even more of 70°C.
The pre-judgment is capacitor breakdown.
Firstly, we need to understand how many μF of capacitor is . The customer could test the capacitor according to the attached instruction .
And then, we can judge whether replacing the capacitor or not.

Water cooler CW-5000 would be breakdown under air temp cca 0℃

A customer bought S&A water cooler model CW-5000 to cool laser engraving machine some time ago. 
Yesterday, the chiller started working under air temp cca 0℃, after about 10 minutes work, cooler stopped and disturbances was reported. Also the temperature controller was without any lighting - no information.
Now I show you the simple judgement and troubleshooting.
1.When the water cooler is used at air temp cca 0°C without antifreeze additive, the water loop may get frozen. Once you turn on the cooler ,the water pump will be stuck by the ice water and breakdown
2.Now we need to eliminate the malfunction component, you can used multimeter to test the output of the 24V switch（cut output wires from the red mark shown as the picture) whether have 24V direct-current output, if output is unstable,it  means power failure, you need to replace the power switch; if output is stable,it means the pump break down, you need to replace the pump.
3.A simple judgement method is to cut two output wires of the pump and observe whether the temperature controler recovers display when you turn on the chiller. If the controller is on ,it means the pump breakdown, if it fails to diaplay, the ploblem is from the 24V power switch.
4.If the problem is from the 24V switch power, you need to do a more test to judge whether the pump breakdown at the same time by replacing a new switching power.
Remark: there is a output wire(simmer one)and a input wire on the switching power.

To avoid water loop getting frozen, water cooler should add antifreeze additive

When the air temperature is below 0°C , the water cooler must add antifreeze additive, otherwise, the water loop would get frozen. Once you turn on the chiller, the water pump would be stuck by ice water and breakdown
